Sandra N. Bane was named Audit Partner of KPMG LLP in 1985 where she served until her retirement in 1998. She was responsible for heading the Western Regions Merchandising practice and establishing the Employee Benefits audit specialist program. Ms. Bane also served as partner-in-charge of the Western Regions Human Resource department for two years and as an accountant with increasing responsibilities during her 23-year tenure with the company.
Ms. Bane currently is a Director of Big 5 Sporting Goods Corporation and Transamerica Asset Management Group, a mutual fund company, where she serves on the audit committee. She was a director of PETCO Animal Supplies, Inc. from 2004 until 2006. Ms. Bane also serves as a member of the board of several nonprofit institutions in her community.
Ms. Bane, 59, has been a Director of AGL Resources since February 2008.
