AGL Resources
Pat Whiteside was named vice president, Business Systems for AGL Resources (NYSE: GAS) in December 2011. He is responsible for the development of integrated business systems for the AGL Resources enterprise. With 4.5 million utility customers, AGL Resources is the largest natural gas-only distribution company in the United States based on customer count.
Previously, Mr. Whiteside served as assistant vice president, Field Operations at Nicor Gas. In his 20 years at the company, he held varied roles of increasing responsibility in operations, business systems and scheduling.
Mr. Whiteside is a board member of the Immaculate Conception Grade School, where he is the technology chair and a frequent volunteer. He also volunteers with the Elmhurst Baseball League.
He earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan Technological University and his master's of business administration from the University of Illinois.
Mr. Whiteside lives with his wife and four children in Elmhurst, Ill.
