Vice President, Operations, Nicor Gas South

Anthony McCain was named vice president, Operations for Nicor Gas South in December 2011. He is responsible for day-to-day operations including ensuring safety, compliance, operational excellence and financial performance. Nicor Gas serves 2.2 million customers and is a subsidiary of AGL Resources (NYSE: GAS), the largest natural gas-only distribution company in the United States based on customer count.
Mr. McCain joined Nicor Gas in 1986. He previously served the company as vice president, Field Operations and as vice president of Distribution. He also served as assistant vice president of Customer Support, assistant vice president of Maintenance and assistant vice president of Energy Delivery.
Active in the industry and his community, Mr. McCain is a member of the American Association of Blacks in Energy, the American Gas Association, Leadership Greater Chicago and Will County Center of Economic Development. He also serves on the boards of Boys & Girls Club of Greater Naperville, Junior Achievement of Will County, Common Ground Alliance, Midwest Energy Association and Voices for Illinois Children.
He earned his undergraduate degree and master in business administration from Illinois Benedectine College.
Mr. McCain lives with his wife and five children in Bolingbrook, Ill.
